SHC Textiles Ltd Code of Practice
All SHC Textiles employees, full-time, part-time or on short-term contracts, are made aware of this Code of Practice and of our operating principles. We require their behavior, when working for us, to demonstrate clear understanding of these principles.
The Charities Acts 1992 and 1993, together with the Charitable Institutions (Fund-Raising) Regulations 1994, contain most of the specific rules and regulations which apply to charitable fundraising with business.

Fundraising on behalf of charities is governed by Part II of the Charities Act 1992.
This sets out basic criteria which must be applied whenever a professional fundraiser or a
commercial participator acts in conjunction with a charity.
The Institute of Fundraising aims to promote the highest standards of fund-raising practice.
They have developed a code of practice for commercial partnerships.

- In our work with charities and other organisations we will be honest and transparent and operate at all times in full conformity with United Kingdom laws.
- We aim to build effective relationships with the organisations we work with based on a mutual understanding of their, and our, aims, objectives and operating principles.
- SHC Textiles regard their name, and the names of charities they are working with, as assets which require protection.
- Our employees are expected to behave with good manners, understanding and courtesy at all times. They are clearly-briefed on the importance of never using pressure to secure donations.
